Restoration: Cocktail Cabinet
A cocktail cabinet, when is of one of these not welcome in your home? The owner wanted this returned to original splendour, and remove the signs of wear and tear especially with the top and the feet, which are common areas for such damage. By the time I was finished it was very hard to say goodbye to this piece.
Before and After Photo
2. Before photo of the top lid
3. removal of water rings after sanding
The water damage to the lid had penetrated the veneer, this meant that the damage had to be repaired by bleaching.
4. the feet prior to sanding and varnish
See the above after photo to compare the difference of the finished feet.
5 after photo
Notice the complete removal of scratches, water marks, and the even varnish colour.
